Have you ever been fearful about adding Keto Zone fats to your diet? Does it make you nervous to go against the false nutrition recommendations that have been perpetuated for decades (high fat is unhealthy)? Do you really believe that eating fat makes you thin?

Well, it’s true. And not only thin but healthier.

In fact, study after study has found that cutting carbs and eating healthy fats leads to fat loss. Indeed, eating fat makes you thin.

Here’s the science behind eating fat, and how you can add more to your diet.

How Eating Fats Makes You Thin

1. Eating Fats and Low-Carbs Lead to Ketosis

When you eat a high-fat diet, about 75% of your calories, and omit most carbs, you can get into the Keto Zone, into ketosis. How does this help?

Ketosis is a state of low-carbohydrate intake in which your body produces and uses ketones for energy. Very little carbohydrates are necessary.

And, this is no ordinary energy. It’s stable. It provides mental focus. And it allows you to eat less and lose weight without an energy deficit.

Astonishingly, this new body fuel and brain fuel has been used successfully for decades to help children with epilepsy vastly reduce seizures (without medications) (1). It also promises brain health improvements in others including degenerative brain conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease (2).

What’s more, many people in ketosis report greater brain clarity, focus, and function than before.

2. High-fat Eating in the Keto Zone Allows Weight Loss without Hunger

Why is dieting usually so hard? One word: hunger.

Since hunger is one of the biggest reasons most people “fail” at diets, it’s reassuring to find a healthy way of eating that promising fat loss without hunger. Fat loss without cravings.

There’s not a hunger issue when eating fats in the Keto Zone.

Keto Zone’s low-carb, high-fat eating and ketosis automatically lead to a reduction in appetite (3). This occurs for a few reasons:

Healthy fat foods promote satiety

Fats are slow-digesting, allowing eaters to feel satisfied

Ketone production suppresses appetite

Leptin levels are optimized signaling fullness

What’s more, according to several studies, people eat fewer calories when they eat low-carbohydrate while increasing protein and fat (4).

3. Eating Fat Makes You Thin By Targeting Unhealthy Abdominal Fat

Eating fat also works to reduce body fat in the best place possible: the abdominals.

Low-carb, high-fat eaters generally see significant fat loss in the first 2 weeks (5, 6), about 200-300% more weight than low-fat dieters. They’re able to do it without hunger (7, 8), and their fat loss is typically visceral fat. This fat is found around organs and increases inflammation and risk of disease (9, 10).

4. Healthy Fats Are Highly Nutritious

Of course, it’s not all about being thin just for the sake of being thin. It’s about getting to your goal weight, feeling strong, and being healthy.

Eating fat makes you thin and healthy. First, it delivers healthy nutrients. Then, it promotes health indirectly by the weight loss itself. And then, it:

Improves cholesterol ratios by reducing or maintain LDL “bad cholesterol while increasing HDL “good cholesterol”

Reduces dangerous triglycerides

Optimizes insulin and blood sugars

Improves eye health, brain health, and hormone health

Reduces inflammation

How to Eat More Fat to Get Thin

But it’s not always as easy as it sounds.

Eating fat requires some work. It’s easiest if high-fat foods are planned throughout the day.

Morning: Start the day with Coffee or Tea and delicious MCT Oil Powder. If you use two scoops of this powder per day, you’ll get 14 grams of Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs). What’s more, about 11 of these grams will be the most beneficial and healthy MCT, C8.

Snacks: Try using Fat Bombs as snacks. If you’re not familiar, “Fat Bombs” are simply very-high-fat snacks that are meant to help you get enough fat each day and satisfy hunger. Most are 85% fat and use coconut oil, cream, butter, nuts, avocados, and other fats. Here are some great recipes to get you started. If you eat 3 fat bombs per day as snacks, you’ll typically get about 45-60 grams of fat. Try Keto Zone Coconut Fat Bombs, Keto Zone Chocolate-Covered Pecan Fat Bombs, and Keto Zone Pesto Fat Bombs.

Lunch/Dinner: When eating meals, you not only want to remove the carbs but add fats back. You’ll get some fats in the protein you choose, such as meat, eggs, and more. Many times, the protein will add 10-20 grams of fat per meal. Then, if you add a fat such as avocados, nuts, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, coconut oil, or other, at 2 Tbsp. oil or 1/2 avocado per meal, you’ll add 28 more grams for about 30-40 grams of fat. When you eat 2 of these high-fat meals per day, such as Keto Zone Slow Cooker Beef & Broccoli, you’ve added 60-80 grams of fat.

If you plan to eat fat throughout the day, you can easily consume more than 120 grams of fat per day. Then, adjust your amounts, and add more fat bombs or extra virgin olive oil, to get enough.

Bottom Line

Eating fat makes you thin. Are you convinced? You should be. We now have many studies, and many, many success stories, that show improved weight loss and health when eating a high-fat Keto Zone diet. Get into the Keto Zone today to meet your health and weight goals.

Did you know the ketogenic diet has been around for 100 years? (1) That’s right. Keto has actually been around since before you were born, only recently making its way into modern health trends.

If the keto diet has been around for that long, what makes it so special? Let’s find out! Here are the top 7 benefits of adding Keto Zone products to your lifestyle.

1. Aids Weight Loss

Studies continue to show that the keto diet offers huge relief for those struggling with weight loss. (2) Because of its concentration on high-fat and low-carb foods, ketosis can take place, a metabolic state in which your body burns fat for fuel.

Sounds like a dream come true!

Along with its fat-burning properties, keto’s inclusion of high-fat foods makes you feel full for longer, decreasing your appetite and suppressing your urge to overindulge in calories– a win/win for anyone looking to shed some pounds. (3)

2. Curbs Cancer

Finding any sort of alleviation for cancer patients is huge, and believe it or not, keto has proven to make a positive impact.

Studies show that the ketogenic diet can curb colon tumor progression and cancer cachexia because of the diet’s metabolic changes to the body. (4)

Other evidence goes on to show that the implementation of keto alongside chemotherapy can suppress cancer’s inflammatory response and even alter its progression. (5, 6, 7)

3. Stimulates Mental Clarity

Who doesn’t love to save time? We all know how frustrating it is to spend 6 hours on a task that should only take you one.

And this is where keto comes in.

Recent findings show those who follow the keto regimen have improved motor skills, cognitive function, and even added relief to mental disorders like Alzheimer’s and dementia. (8) Other studies also prove mood stabilization properties that ease symptoms of bipolar disorder. (9)

4. Helps Type 2 Diabetics Quality of Life

Diabetics have to watch their carb intake to monitor glucose levels. But on the keto diet, your body doesn’t use glucose for energy; it uses fats. Studies suggest keto specifically improves Type 2 diabetics’ quality of life by alleviating inflammatory responses and aiding the glucose process. (10)

This means keto can not only lessen diabetic symptoms and overall use of insulin, but it can also improve glycemic control. (11, 12, 13)

For those with Type 2 diabetes, this can bring an extra sense of comfort to their lives, as it saves a headache of trouble, as well as extra money spent on insulin and other medical needs.

5. Improves Cholesterol

No one likes going to the doctor only to hear they have high cholesterol.

How can you improve it?

There is evidence that low-carb diets like keto improve cardiovascular risks by lowering bad cholesterol, LDL, and improving the good kind of cholesterol, HDL. (14, 15, 16)

It’s also worth noting that Keto Zone MCT Oil Powder improves cholesterol on its own, making it a two for one! (17)

6. Includes Anti-Inflammatory Properties

Studies show that the keto diet is profoundly anti-inflammatory.

BHB, one of the ketones produced during ketosis, is thought to block one of the main signals for inflammation. (19, 20) This means that a keto lifestyle can influence inflammatory diseases like eczema, arthritis, and psoriasis for the better.

Take my story for example, I used keto to ease my psoriasis, and the effects were life-changing.

7. Allows Your Favorite Foods

Keto challenges the “fat makes you fat” stigma. By incorporating foods high in healthy fat, it lets you enjoy the foods you love to eat while simultaneously losing weight.

Cheese, butter, heavy cream, peanut butter, meat, and oils are all allowed on your shopping list, pointing you away from other conventional low-fat diets.

To top it off, Keto Zone supplements, like the Cookies & Cream and French Vanilla Shakes, offer all of the health benefits without sacrificing the classically flavored treats you would miss.

Bottom Line

Keto offers more than just another diet to lose weight. From curbing cancer, helping diabetics, and improving cholesterol, to stimulating mental clarity and aiding inflammatory diseases, it’s definitely lived up to sticking around for 100 years.

It is finally fall!

As the temperatures drop, our immune systems need an extra boost to help protect us from catching a cold or the flu.

This all-natural ginger tea recipe has whole food immune boosting ingredients that will keep you healthy without knocking you out of the Keto Zone.

Ginger and cinnamon are loaded with antioxidant and immune boosting compounds that will keep your body strong enough to fight off any pathogenic bacteria and viruses you might come across.

Lemon juice contains vitamin C which also helps to strengthen your immune system and promote healthy digestion. Apple cider vinegar has probiotics which act to counteract the unhealthy bacteria that can cause the common cold.

Additionally, this recipe has pumpkin spice MCT powder which provides a delicious fall flavor as well as healthy fats to fuel the mitochondria in your cells. To top things off we added a small amount of raw honey which is loaded with vitamins, minerals, and immune factors. A quarter teaspoon of raw honey only adds a few grams of carbohydrates which is not enough to prevent ketosis.

Ingredients

2 cups filtered water
2 tablespoons fresh organic ginger root, chopped
1 organic cinnamon stick
1/2 organic lemon, juiced
1/2 teaspoon organic apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon raw honey
1 scoop MCT Powder (Pumpkin Spice)

Instructions

Add 2 cups of water to a pot over medium heat.

Add chopped ginger and cinnamon stick to the water.

Cover the pot and bring water to a simmer.

Allow water to simmer for at least 5 minutes.

Remove water from the heat.

Pour water through a fine mesh strainer in to your favorite tea cup.

Add in lemon, apple cider vinegar, MCT powder, and raw honey.

Stir until well combined (or blend for a frothier consistency).

Enjoy!

Have you been following a Keto diet for a while, and are now finding that weight loss has stopped? If so, you are not alone. Typically, there are small habits that creep in a sabotage weight loss.

It’s no indication of failure.

With any health or weight loss journey, there will be times of progress and plateau. We can learn through it all.

If weight has stopped on keto for you, take a look at these 7 reasons why, and get right back in the Keto Zone!

7 Top Reasons Your Weight Loss Has Stopped on Keto and What to Do

1. Plain and Simple, You’re Eating Too Many Carbs

Most new keto eaters know they have to cut carbs. Some count every gram; others simply cut out carb-foods. Either way is fine, as long as you’re seeing results.

But, both strategies can succumb to a plateau.

If you are counting your grams of carbs, aim for 20 grams or less net carbs. Net carbs are total carbs minus fiber and sugar alcohols (like those in erythritol).

Use this algorithm: Carbs – (Fiber + Sugar Alcohols) = Net Carbs.

If you haven’t been counting, but find that weight loss has stopped, it’s a good time to start, or at least do so for a short amount of time, until you’re sure you’re restricting carbohydrates enough. Again, aim for 20 grams net carbs.

Double-check and make sure you’re not missing any hidden carbs. Here’s a good list of hidden carbs.

2. You’re Not Tracking Keto Levels and/or Not Achieving Ketosis

Knowing your ketone levels puts the control in your hands.

Everybody is different.

While your spouse, your friend, or your cousin gets into ketosis regularly with a certain level of carbs, your body may require a different or lesser amount.

Not knowing if you’re in ketosis, and not losing weight is a source of unnecessary frustration.

Instead, check your ketone levels with Ketone Test Strips and use them to adjust your diet and reach ketosis.

3. You’re Eating Processed & Inflammatory Foods

Like any type of eating plan, you can make good and bad choices. Vegetarians can eat Oreos for every meal, or they can focus solely on vegetables.

Similarly, Keto Zone eaters can eat unhealthy, processed, low-carb foods, or they can eat healthy fats with protein and vegetables alongside.

Eating a diet high in processed foods is never a good idea, for weight loss or health, no matter your eating plan (1).

Instead, always check food labels for healthy vs. unhealthy fats. Make as much as you can at home. Be choosy about your food.

4. Your Total Calories Intake is Too High

While many people will lose weight simply by cutting carbs without regard to calories, some won’t. For some, a big overage in calories will halt weight loss or even cause gain. Yes, even while eating low-carb.

Luckily, Keto Zone eating helps you control portions, and most people feel hugely satisfied with it.

So, if it’s not big portions, look to calorie-dense foods. The most common culprit? Nuts, believe it or not.

When going low-carb, many people start eating huge amounts of nuts. Nuts are good, healthy food. But, too many nuts are a problem.

It leads to too many calories and unfortunately, too high a diet in omega-6s.

If this seems to be an issue for you, consider keeping nuts to no more than ½ cup per day, and adding more variety to your diet, including vegetables, to control calories (2 tablespoons of nut butter = ¼ cup nuts)

5. You’re Eating Out Too Much

Unfortunately, it can be tough to stay in the Keto Zone if you eat out often. It helps if you have a game plan to start.

But, sometimes, even good Keto Zone restaurant choices have added carbs.

If you’re wondering why the salad tastes so good, it may have a sweet dressing.

Steak rubs, marinades, and otherwise low-carb sauces can have added sugar at a restaurant.

Typically, the restaurant is more concerned with pleasing your taste buds than your carb count.

So, you must be diligent. Take a look at our Keto Zone Restaurant guide. Then, go a step further and ask about preparation if you’re concerned.

It’s worth the awkward waiter questions to stay in the Keto Zone and start losing weight again.

6. All-Day Calorie Restriction

If you’re simply eating low calories for 16 hours per day, your body may begin to adapt and cause you to burn less.

Study after study has shown that our bodies adapt to low-calorie eating.

The antidote?

Intermittent fasting.

If you eat for 8 hours per day and consume your daily fats and calories needed, and then fast for 16 hours per day, your body will lose weight (2).

To start: Eat an early dinner, only drink no-carb coffee when you wake (you can add MCT Oil Powder), and then delay your first solids until late morning. This schedule can help you incorporate intermittent fasting easily.

7. You’re Near Your Goal Weight

If you have one hundred pounds to lose, the weight will come off faster than if you have ten pounds to lose.

Once near their desired goal weight, many dieters find weight loss has stopped.

Your body is in homeostasis and conservation, it will resist change when it thinks the change is too much.

You’ll have to double down your efforts and have patience.

What’s more, Keto Zone eating is highly effective during those first few months of ketosis. It’s sort of a “shock” to the system, and your body simply loses weight.

Keto will continue to be effective for the long haul but may take more work as you get closer to your goal.

How to Break Through Your Weight Loss Plateau on Keto

While we’ll go into each of these in detail next week, here’s a summary of what you can do to break a plateau:

Count net carbs and keep them to 25 grams or less per day

Make sure you’re getting enough daily calories with 75%+ from healthy fats, such as MCT Oil Powder

Use ketone strips to monitor ketosis

If not yet in ketosis, use Instant Ketones

Intermittent fast for 16 hours per day, and consider adding one 24-hour period each week or every other week

Be diligent at restaurants and ask about preparation

Get enough sleep.

Have patience, be positive, and focus on overall health and well-being.

Bottom Line

Almost everyone hits plateaus in their weight loss journey. But a plateau isn’t the end, it’s just a momentary pause and opportunity to get better and smarter at your Keto Zone plan. If you’ve hit a weight loss plateau on keto, double-check these reasons listed above.

With a few small steps, you can get back in the Keto Zone and lose weight again.

If you’re new to Keto Zone or have been using it for a while, you know the lifestyle is effective and healthy. However, there are certain keto mistakes you can accidentally make if you’re not careful.

Oftentimes, people make mistakes as they get too busy to make their own foods, feel comfortable enough they stop double-checking their foods, or they simply don’t know better.

Now, with our simple guidance, you will.

Here are the Top 8 Keto Mistakes you might not know you’re making, and easy solutions!

Top 8 Keto Mistakes and Easy Solutions

Keto Mistake #1 – The “Ultra-Processed” Keto Diet

Whether you’re following Keto Zone, Paleo, Mediterranean, or even a Vegan diet, you can easily make the mistake of eating ultra-processed foods.

Once a “diet” becomes trendy, food manufacturers from all over will begin to make “products” for this trendy diet, in order to make money.

Some products are great. Most products are not.

Some are slightly processed, and others are ultra-processed. Ultra-processed foods are simply those high in sugars, unhealthy, processed fats, junk “fake” ingredients, and more. They are strongly linked to poor health outcomes (1,2).

Just because a product claims it’s low-carb, doesn’t make it a healthy Keto Zone food.

In fact, with Keto Zone, we urge you to study all the ingredients in any commercial food and look beyond low-carb and high-fat.

For example, the low-carb portion should be naturally low-carb or made with healthy-low carb sweeteners (more below). The high-fat portion should come from healthy fats, and not low-quality, cheap, inflammatory fats, such as soybean oil or hydrogenated oils.

How can you avoid this mistake?

Solution:

First, cook as many meals as you can from home.

Use and eat foods that are single-ingredient foods, such as eggs, meats, vegetables, and healthy oils like olive oil.

When buying commercial food, ignore all marketing on the front of the packaging. Look first at the ingredients, and then at the nutrition label (read guide here).

Find more tips here

Keto Mistake #2 – Avoiding Fiber

We all need fiber. While we may not actually need quite as much as has been recommended in the past, our guts need fiber-based foods to feed our healthy bacteria (soluble fibers and prebiotics).

You must be proactive to avoid fiber keto mistakes to ensure you’re getting enough.

When you’ve eliminated many high-carbohydrate foods, such as grains, beans, most fruits, and legumes, you mind yourself low on fiber. However, as you replace low-quality starchy foods such as bread and pasta, with natural Keto Zone foods like inulin, nuts, nut flours, and vegetables, you’ll find your fiber intake increases in quantity and quality ( 3).

Solution:

To get more fiber, eat daily:

3 servings of vegetables (6-10 grams of fiber)

¼ cup nuts or 2 tablespoons nut meal (4 grams fiber)

2 tablespoons of seeds, such as hemp seeds (4 grams fiber)

2 tablespoons chia seeds per day (8 grams fiber)

Keto Mistake #3 – Not Researching or Using Supplements

I wish we could get all the nutrients we need with foods alone. I do.

However, the diminishing quality of our soil, processed foods, use of pesticides and antibiotics, and our own digestion ailments can make it tough to consume, digest, and absorb everything we need.

High-quality supplements make up the differences in the nutrients we need, but don’t get in foods.

Solution:

Some important supplements on Keto Zone include:

Instant Ketones: In supplemental powder form, these ketones provide a readily available source of ketones. They are especially important when getting into ketosis.

Fat-Zyme: If you have trouble digesting fats, this enzyme and nutrient combination supplement can help you feel better and get into the Keto Zone.

Magnesium: Magnesium deficiency is common in all adults and can be easily fixed with supplementation.

Omega-3s: Krill Oil: is a great source of anti-inflammatory fats and antioxidants for brain, cardiovascular, and overall health.

MCT Oil Powder: When increasing fats, it’s important to choose the healthiest fat quality. MCT Oil Powder is an extremely healthy, easy-to-use fat in drinks and more.

Thyroid Zone and Hormone Zone: Especially as women age, these supplements can protect bones, help balance estrogens, and fight fatigue.

Keto Mistake #4 – Going Low-Carb and Low-Fat

The Keto Zone Diet is all about minimal carbs, and large amounts of fat. Unfortunately, people make many keto mistakes with fat intake.

Your body needs large amounts of healthy fats to provide the substrates for ketones and to keep your body healthy.

High-quality fats are needed, not optional.

A huge health-wrecking mistake is to minimize carbs and fats.

When you do this, you won’t get the health benefits of healthy fats, you will go too low in calories, which can affect metabolism, and will likely be overly-hungry.

Solution:

Aim for 75% or more calories from fats in your diet and about 20-30 grams net carbs each day.

If eating around 1,500 calories per day, then consume just 30 or so grams of carbs (120 calories), 125 grams of fat, and about 64 grams of protein.

As you can see, fats are important.

One way to add fat is to use “fat bombs” as snacks.

Keto Mistake #5 – Choosing Inflammatory Fats

Not all fats are created equal. Some are highly inflammatory, while some are healthy. Choose the latter.

Sure, you can eat a high-fat diet loaded with processed fats, trans-fats, and inflammatory fats. But, what good would this be?

Use the fats in your diet to promote health in addition to entering the Keto Zone.

Solution:

Avoid:

High omega-6 fats in processed foods such as soybean oil, corn oil, and vegetable oil.

Trans-fats from hydrogenated fat sources

Eat:

Omega-3 fats from fish, krill, and other seafood

Healthy omega-9 fats from nuts, avocados, and olive oil

MCT oils from MCT Oil Powder and coconut oil

Fats from high-quality animal sources such as eggs, free-range livestock, and wild sources

Keto Mistake #6 – Eating Foods Loaded with Saccharin, Aspartame, and Sucralose

When eating low-carb, you’ll find all sorts of foods and recipes with aspartame, saccharin, and sucralose. These are not the best ingredients for your health.

Why?

For one, they disrupt the healthy bacteria in the gut (4). Healthy gut bacteria is a cornerstone of overall health, and disruptions can induce hormone imbalances, digestive issues, inflammation, food intolerances, and more.

Additionally, aspartame and saccharin have had a sketchy history with cancer risk, and should be avoided.

Solution:

Find foods that use higher-quality, natural sugar substitutes. These include stevia, xylitol, and erythritol.

Keto Mistake #7 – Over-Fasting

Intermittent fasting is a great, health-promoting tool on Keto Zone.

However, some people make the mistake of fasting too much; usually by combining different fasting styles.

If you use the 5:2 method, fast for 2 days per week, and then also use the 16:8 method, fasting 16 hours per day, and then add in 2 days that are restricted to 500 calories each (total), you’re likely going to be hungry.

Hunger itself is not always a problem, but too much can lead to binges, disrupted sleep, and more.

Solution:

When intermittent fasting, choose just one method and do it well.

If you find yourself so hungry that you’re having a hard time falling asleep or staying asleep, make sure you’re not combining fasting styles, and that you’re eating enough during your eating window (add more fats if needed).

Keto Mistake #8 – Thinking Keto Zone is a Quick Fix

If you find that the Internet is overflowing with “diet success stories” that seem too good to be true, remember that they probably are.

Now, Keto Zone usually delivers quicker and better results than any other diet.

However, it’s still a marathon, not a sprint.

Getting into and staying in ketosis, requires study, work, and commitment. While it’s simple, it’s not necessarily easy day in and day out.

Solution:

Look at the Keto Zone as a lifestyle, for the rest of your life.

Focus on gaining health, energy, awareness, and overall wellness rather than just weight loss.

As long as you’re making progress, keep going! Everyone’s different, and everyone’s weight loss story is their own. Don’t compare, and stay positive.

Bottom Line

Keto Zone is extremely effective and healthy. However, if it’s not followed as directed, mistakes can be made. Make sure to these Top 8 Keto Mistakes.
